Does vicroscript require special hardware components? |
 |
No. vicroscript will run on any PC that supports the Dual-Screen feature introduved with Windows 98. |

Does the prompt speed differ on different PCs? |
 |
The prompting speed is quite independent from the PC speed. However,
it may be the case that the text does not prompt smoothly. This is caused rather by
the graphic adapters than by the main CPU speed. Generally speaking a slow CPU with
a speedy graphic card is preferrable to a fast PC with slow graphics. |

you find the option "Flip" which will rotate the text by 180°. |

Which resolutions are supported? |
 |
The control monitor requires 1024 x 768. The prompter screen may be set to 640 x 480, 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 Pixels. |

What colour depth should be set? |
 |
While 256 colours (8 bit) will do, HiColor (or True Color) will enhance the appearande
significantly. In order to avoid aliasing, set the screen appearance in the control panel
th "smooth Display Fonts". |

Can I load Word documents (*.doc) directly into vicroscript? |
 |
No. You need to save your text as ".txt" or "rtf" (Rich Text Format).
These types can be saved and read by vicroscript as wess as by virtually any word processing
software. |

What are the minimum requirements for the tripod? |
 |
The weight of vicroscript is approx. 8 kg including a typical TFT display.
If your camera - with all accessories - does not exceede 8 kg, a 16 kg head will
be sufficient. |

What about loss of light? |
 |
The cost of using a telepromter is about one aperture step. For critical conditions a special beam splitter is available. |
